I have lived in Harpenden for 50 years so, by residential qualification, am The Harpenden Busker.
I was previously born and bred in St Albans so have not travelled far. I taught myself to play guitar when at St Albans School whilst the other boys learnt about soldiering in the CCF. I play and sing a wide variety of songs from past decades.
All donations and playing fees are given to a variety of charities. I have collected and donated over £250,000 in the last 15 years. Most of this is from running charity golf days. I also promote concert evenings – and busk at all sorts of events.
